An online video downloader lets you work with a video link from a normal web browser instead of installing a separate desktop program. With VGSAVE, you paste a supported public media URL, let the service check the source, and choose from the options that are actually available for that media.
How to download a public video from a link
- Open the VGSAVE downloader.
- Copy the URL of a supported public video that you own or are authorized to download.
- Paste the URL into the public media URL box.
- Select Get download options and wait for the source to be checked.
- Choose an MP4 quality that is offered for that video, or choose MP3 when it is available.
- Wait for the file to finish preparing, then use the download button.
Why quality options can be different
A video downloader cannot reliably create detail that is not present in the source. One video may offer 360p, 720p, and 1080p while another may offer different choices. Higher resolutions also normally require more data, storage, and processing time.

Do you need an app?
For supported public links, VGSAVE is designed to work in a normal mobile or desktop browser. That can be useful when you only need to process an occasional link and do not want to install another application.

Why an online video download can fail
- The link is private, restricted, removed, or requires an account.
- The source platform has changed how the media is delivered.
- The URL or media type is not currently supported.
- A temporary network or processing problem occurred.
- The requested quality is not available from the source.

What about MP3?
When compatible media is detected, VGSAVE can show an MP3 option. The current target is 192 kbps, but the final result still depends on the source audio. Read the MP3 guide for more details.

A video being publicly visible does not automatically mean that everyone has permission to copy or redistribute it. Check copyright, licensing, privacy, and the rules of the source service before downloading or sharing a file. VGSAVE does not provide a way to bypass private access controls.
