How to check for 4K
- Copy the URL of a supported public video you are authorized to download.
- Paste it into the VGSAVE downloader.
- Choose Get download options.
- If the source provides a 2160p format that VGSAVE can use, 2160p will appear among the available options.
Why 4K may not be available
VGSAVE cannot create a 4K version when the source does not provide one. A video may be limited to 1080p, 720p, or another resolution. Availability can also change when a source platform changes its media delivery or access rules.
Does 4K always look better?
Resolution is only one part of image quality. The original source, bitrate, compression, frame rate, and display all affect how a downloaded video looks. A higher-numbered resolution does not automatically mean a better source.
4K files are larger
Higher-resolution video normally needs more storage and may take longer to prepare and download. Make sure your device has enough free space before selecting a large file.
What if the quality list looks wrong?
- Run detection again with the original public URL.
- Check whether the source itself offers the expected quality.
- Try a lower available quality if the higher option fails.

Quality selection works through the browser. On phones, large 4K files can use significant storage and data, so Wi-Fi and sufficient free space may be useful.
