How to download a supported public video.

VGSAVE checks a public URL first and shows the options it can actually offer.

Steps

  1. Copy the URL of a public video you are allowed to download.
  2. Open the VGSAVE downloader and paste the URL.
  3. Select Get download options.
  4. Choose one of the qualities returned by the source check.
  5. Wait for the file to be prepared and download it.

Why can a link fail?

A public URL can stop working because the source changed, the media is unavailable in your region, the URL requires login, or the source is not currently supported. VGSAVE does not bypass private access controls.

Why are some qualities missing?

Quality choices are based on the source media. A 1080p or 4K button should not be assumed to exist when the source does not provide usable media at that level.
